Richard,

        this  looks  like  a  problem  on the ASM with the pfe manager
        running  out  of  resource.  I  would  guess  that the ASM PIC
        performed a reset along with the core file. I don't understand
        yet why this would have caused problem with the routing protocols.

        Please supply to jtac the following information for further
        investigations
        
        show chassis hardware
        show log messages
        show configuration
        show version

        the core file under /var/tmp/ /var/crash
