You might be suffering from PR41211, "ifHCInOctets & ifHCOutOctets for ge PIC
sometimes returns 0 for output".  The 0 values weren't that frequent for me,
but they sure caused trouble in my graphs & such.  For me this got fixed at
6.1-20040112.0.
