Can I use VP or VC mode ATM over MPLS with ATM1 PIC's. Evidently[0] it's
not possible to use VP and VC mode in ATM1 PIC's.
Is it possible to use different L2 protocols in L2VPN (ATM1 and ATM2), like
in Cisco[1].
Particularly if I have ADSL customer using rfc2684 and VC is signaled
to ATM interface facing Juniper1 can I MPLS switch ethernet frames from
Juniper1 ATM interface to out via Juniper2 VLAN interface, what about out from
Cisco VLAN interface (do they interoperate? I think definitely not now,
but will they?)
If it's possible to use different L2 protocols what limitation do I have?
Do I always need tunnel PIC, if it will affect forwarding speed, how much?
Does the configuration limit what other features can be used in same
physical but different logical interface in Juniper1 and Juniper2?
Ultimately what I'd like to do at the same time is:
a) terminate connections to Juniper1 ATM
b) transport ATM VP's to some egress ATM interface in MPLS network
c) transport ATM VC's to some egress ATM interface in MPLS network
d) transport ATM VC's to some egress VLAN interface in MPLS network
Preferably I'd like answer in regard of both ATM1 and ATM2, and
performance considerations if it's not wire speed.
