[j-nsp] IGP shortcuts and VPNs.

Hi everyone,

I would like to enable IGP shortcuts (OSPF in this case), however
we also have L2VPNs and I came across a warning saying that the 2
are incompatible as traffic-engineering bgp-igp moves inet.3 routes
into inet.0 not leaving them available for bgp vpns.

Am I right in thinking that if I use IGP shortcuts and either
traffic-engineering bgp-igp-both-ribs or traffic-engineering mpls-forwarding
then my VPNs will be unaffected?

Also, I came across this note under help topics ospf traffic-engineering:

   +------------------------------------------------------------------------+
   |NOTE: | NOTE: Whenever possible, use IS-IS IGP shortcuts instead of |
   | | traffic engineering shortcuts. |
   +------------------------------------------------------------------------+

Why is this?

All the best,

John.
