Hello,
i am just digging through vlan-ccc configuration for aggregated (ae)
ethernet.
http://www.juniper.net/techpubs/software/junos/junos64/swconfig64-interfaces/html/interfaces-ethernet-config17.html#1106055
says to use flexible-ethernet-services if i want to encapsulate
vlan-ccc/vlan-tcc _inside_ a logical interface at the "set interfaces
ae0 unit 1 encapsulation vlan-ccc" level. I do not like to change the
whole encapsulation of the ae0 link as i have normal vlan's running on
it.
However i cannot change the encapsulation on ae0, it doesnt give me
"flexible-ethernet-services" as option:
set interfaces ae0 encapsulation ?
Possible completions:
ethernet-ccc Ethernet cross-connect
extended-vlan-ccc Nonstandard TPID tagging for a cross-connect
vlan-ccc 802.1Q tagging for a cross-connect
So right now i am not sure howto accomplish this task.
>From the above document it seems to me that i have to use vlan-ccc
encapsulation on ae0 and renumber all my current "normal, non-ccc"
vlan's so that they fit inside 1 to 511 vlan-id's. After that it should
be possible to use the vlan-ccc encapsulation on a logical interface
itself.
Anyone can confirm this?
Ok, that was the easy part, next question:
It also seems that i cannot use vlan-tcc then, i guess this is only
supported on non-aggregated links, which brings me to another question:
If i want to use martini l2 tunnels to actually tunnel a logical
interface of an aggregated interface to say a fe interface on another
router this will probably not work, do i need to have an aggregated
ethernet interface on the other side too?
Running 6.4R1.6
Any help appreciated.
Regards,
Jonas
