[j-nsp] M5 & CHDS3-QPP

Don't know if it will help any, but here is a config snippet I am using. Note, I never use the clear channel t1 nomenclature, as it is just easier to divide the CT3 into all CT1 interfaces, then just assign all 24 DS-0 channels to the interface if you want to do full T-1:

ct3-3/0/0 {
    description "Channelized DS-3 to 3/1 Mux";
    t3-options {
        no-long-buildout;
        no-cbit-parity;
    }
    partition 1-28 interface-type ct1;
}
ct1-3/0/0:1 {
    description "Master interface for ds-3/0/0:1:1";
    partition 1 timeslots 1-24 interface-type ds;
}
ds-3/0/0:1:1 {
    description "Description";
    encapsulation cisco-hdlc;
    unit 0 {
        family inet {
            address 1.1.1.1/30;
        }
    }
}

Lastly, check to see if you have an E-FPC. Have seen some strange things with Q PICs and older FPCs on M5s...

Subject: [j-nsp] M5 & CHDS3-QPP

Is anyone aware of any issues between an M5 (running junos 6.2) and a
channelized DS3 QPP card?

I am trying to replace a regular CT3 card with a QPP CT3 card in slot 0
(making all the necessary changes along the way such as, fixing the
channel numbering, and configuring the ct3-0/0/0 options) but only
channel 1 (t-1) comes up. When I revert back to the regular CT3 PIC
everything comes right up. I am being told from my layer 1 people that
the clocking for DS3 should not be derived from line (so it is set to
internal). Any thoughts?

Thanks
Kashif.
