Hi,

 You don't have to enable any flags on [edit interfaces] section. What
you can do,
if I understood you correctly, is something like:

[edit interfaces]
set traceoptions file intf-msgs size 10m files 50
[edit interfaces ds-1/2/3:4]
set traceoptions xxx

where xxx could be "all", or "event" etc.

Now when you run "monitor start intf-msgs", you should only see
traceoption logs
for the specific interface(s).
