[j-nsp] MAC accounting / shared medium accounting

Hello,

does anyone know if its possible to do MAC accounting on the M series
using normal (old: P/PE, non-b, non-sfp, non-iq) gigabit PIC's?
I'd like to do mac accounting to be able to count traffic on a shared
medium just like the following script does for cisco:

Is anyone running something like this or even has modified the above
script to work with junipers?
