JTAC is right. See PR56203, which says:

messages like "atareadhdidentity: ioctl: Resource temporarily
unavailable" might appear which are non-impacting. This message does
not indicate a hardware failure. 

We have had this happen to us on several routers, but we no longer worry
about it.
