A classic problem is using the "encrypted password" setting in the wrong way..

I suggest using "set system root-authentication plain-text-password"

I tried every step of the "cluepon" site and was successful in breaking the password on Juniper M40e. I configured the router again with its password. but some thing strange is going on ... i am not able to log on to the router via console once i reboot it.

Can anyone give comments about it ?

When ever the router is rebooted i can never login to the console using the password that was configured.
