Since about 7.3R3 or thereabouts, the config syntax checker supports 
it at least.

7.3 release notes mentions this is now supported, but it didn't work 
(syntax error) in the first couple of revisions.  A juniper sales rep 
thought that BFD + GRES wasn't supported in ~7.6.

So, nowadays the config commit will work, but it's not obvious how 
well it work; we are using them in a couple of places, but haven't 
done measurements with GRES switchover.
