[j-nsp] M20 /w SSB-E16, packet_get() failed

The packet_get() error below means that the ssb can't get any packet
memory to send an PFEMAN IPC message back to the RE. Most likely, it
means that the SSB is running out of memory. You might need to check the
memory utilization level there and see if that's expected or this is
some kind of memory leakage problem.

Please check with JTAC on this.

Subject: [j-nsp] M20 /w SSB-E16, packet_get() failed

Hello list,

we recently upgraded a M20 router with SSB-E16 to JunOS 8.4R2.3 and
since that, I see the following in the log files periodically:

Dec  3 16:09:09  re0 ssb ipc_pipe_get_packet(): packet_get() failed!
Dec  3 16:09:13  re0 last message repeated 53 times
Dec  3 16:55:28  re0 ssb ipc_pipe_get_packet(): packet_get() failed!
Dec  3 16:55:33  re0 last message repeated 59 times
Dec  3 17:13:43  re0 last message repeated 101 times
Dec  3 17:29:57  re0 ssb ipc_pipe_get_packet(): packet_get() failed!
Dec  3 17:30:05  re0 last message repeated 104 times

Does anybody know what that means? Is it normal or something I should
worry about?

Thanks & regards,
Nicolaj Kamensek
