It looks like your OC-12 card isn't in that slot.  Do this:
RE0> show interfaces terse
Interface               Admin Link Proto Local       
so-0/0/0                up    up
so-0/0/0.0              up    up   inet  xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/30
and find the interface in question.  Then do this:
RE0> show interfaces so-1/1/0 extensive
except do the interface where your card is.  My OC-12 is in slot 1/1 in this case.  It will show you everything you need WRT alarms.  Look for this, in particular:
  Traffic statistics:
   Input  bytes  :       12641132131142            263211016 bps
   Output bytes  :       11208745208763            251734288 bps
