Hi Dave

I find using the "instance-import" (or export) command much easier than 
messing about with ribs

for instance .. very simple example.

routing-options {
    instance-import test;
}

# show interfaces ge-1/0/0
unit 0 {
    family inet {
        address 1.1.1.1/30;
    }
}

# show routing-instances   
l3vpn {
    instance-type virtual-router;
    interface ge-1/0/0.0;
    routing-options {
        static {
            route 2.2.2.2/32 next-hop 1.1.1.2;
        }
    }
}

# show policy-options policy-statement test
term reject {
    from {
        instance l3vpn;
        route-filter 1.1.1.0/30 orlonger;
    }
