Hi lee
If you still have this problem I think you've made a kind of loop and like you said at the end of your mail you need to have two separates vlans going to the switches as on your J series it's two different interfaces on two different networks.
If vlan 810 is propagated between the two switches you are transmitting the ospf hellos from one ge interface on you Jserie to the other one.
Using two different vlans would solve the problem.
If this is not the problem
A drawing of your network would be welcome to help you with some extract from your J-serie config and the log message you're seeing.
Hope this helps
Regards
Alain

Objet : [j-nsp] OSPF invalid net mask
Hi Guys,
I am getting a lot of invalid netmask errors in my OSPF on a J2320. I have in total 6 cisco ospf talking switches and 2 j2320's on my network (All in area 0.0.0.0). The J2320 showing the error is linked to two separate switches (Gigabit Ethernet, each link has its own /29 (However in the same vlan)), which are in turn linked to each other. My other J2320 is linked to a down stream ospf talking switch. I am not seeing any ospf errors on my other router at all.
JTAC have had all of the diagnosis info and tell me they cannot see an error at all, however I have configured snmp alerts and am getting 2 every couple of seconds telling me there is an invalid netmask. Is there anyway to get it to tell me said invalid netmask so that I can take a look?
Could it be because my two links are in the same vlan (switch1 is linked in VLAN810 to ge-0/0/0 on my router and switch2 is linked in VLAN810 to
ge-0/0/2 on my router) on my switches? Would separating them out make a difference?
My other router cannot see the same problem but can see all of the networks over ospf.
Thanks,
Lee
