[j-nsp] Getting started with Juniper

Hi all, hopefully not too off topic.

Im looking for some advice on getting started with Juniper.

A J2300 (with 2xE1 and 2xFE) has come up that might be in my price range,
and if it is Id be very interested in buying it.

At present Im very much a Cisco person, but Ive always been interested in
wetting my hands with Juniper aswell. Cant hurt to be vendor diverse, can
it? :-)

I guess the most important piece of information Im looking for is: what is
the most cost effective way to get my hands on a more recent JUNOS image?
The box currently appears to have 7.0R1.5 on it which is from around 2004,
which sounds a bit old.

The types of features I'd be looking for are:

* PPPoE
* Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
* IPSEC
* MPLS
* IPv6 is a must, but seems to be covered already anyway
* LAC and LNS functionality (L2TP)
* Definitely want dot1q for the FE ports, but I believe this is also covered

What sort of image would I be looking at to support these features? Can
anyone point me in the right direction to some web pages that have the
info on them?

Im continuing my own searches to delve more into this particular subject,
but any advice would be greatly appreciated for this fledgling Juniper
tech. :-)

Cheers,
Tom
