Yes there is a problem with this version of JUNOS, Juniper is aware about it.

You have to add "trace-control" in the permissions.

Objet : [j-nsp] Duty accounts on Juniper

Hello!
I have upgraded software on one of our M-series Juniper from 7.5R2.8 to 8.4R2.3.
On all routers we have accounts for our duty department. Before upgrade they can view log files but after they got error while trying to view
/var/log/messages:

duty at hostd's password:
--- JUNOS 8.4R2.3 built 2007-09-18 09:21:59 UTC duty at host> show log messages
error: permission denied: log

duty at host>

me at host> show configuration system login class duty permissions view;

me at host>

What I need to add to permissions for granting duties view log files?
