SRX650 would foot the Bill - High Memory (2G), 4 GE Ports, does all the VLAN switching/tagging/fun stuff.
Put it in packet-mode (JunOS 9.6+), add an Ethernet blade to the chassis, and voila. Instant core router.
...and half the price of an ASR1002. =)
