[j-nsp] tool to convert junos config to / from regular / xml / flat ?

hi all

does anyone know of a *nix tool / perl module / whatever to convert back and forth between the various forms of junos config ? ('regular' <-> flattened 'display set' <-> xml)

(using the junos cli is an obvious answer but not what i'm looking for)
