hi,

Could anybody explain Juniper E320 radius accouting packet content?

We use Juniper E320 with C2000 to provide portal based wlan access service.

subscribers --(WLAN) --- E320 ---- C2000 ----- Radius server

it is notice that there are radius accounting packets has Acct-Output-Packets = 0 while Acct-Input-Octets = 145428422 ( see sample radius packets caught below).

customer respond for this radius accounting packets says he only browse internet in that wlan session. it's not possible for TCP communication there is only one-way packets sent.

Would anybody do me a favor to explain following quesions

1. Does Acct-Output-Packets and Acct-Output-Octets record traffic sent to customer?

Does Acct-Input-Octets and Acct-Input-Packets record traffic sent by customer?

In culating customer traffic, do we need to consider Acct-Output-Gigawords and Acct-Input-Gigawords ?

2. Is there any traffic calculation policy set in E320 or C2000?

3. how to calculate total amount of traffic sent or received by customers ?

regards

Joe
