Hi,

a long time ago I saw some transport engineers putting the DWDM
circuit over a SDH platform to solve problems like this one.

At that time, they told me the DWDM platform we were using did not
have the feature to avoid this kind of problem, so we did rely on SDH
protection features to solve that problem.
