[j-nsp] M160 SFM BOGUS ERRORS

We are running junos 9,6R3.8 the messages seen once the SFM goes up, are
like this

Jun  9 13:58:16    fpc0 DCHIP(0/3): H/S link Tx12(0) overflow
Jun  9 13:58:16   fpc0 DCHIP(0/3): H/S link Tx12(1) overflow
Jun  9 13:58:16   fpc6 DCHIP(6/0): H/S link Tx12(1) overflow
Jun  9 13:58:16   fpc6 DCHIP(6/0): H/S link Tx12(2) overflow
Jun  9 13:58:19   fpc7 DCHIP(7/1): H/S link Tx12(0) overflow
Jun  9 13:58:19   fpc0 DCHIP(0/3): H/S link Tx12(1) overflow
Jun  9 13:58:20   fpc0 DCHIP(0/3): H/S link Tx12(0) overflow
Jun  9 13:59:15   fpc6 DCHIP(6/0): H/S link Tx12(1) overflow

right now only bogus errors are seen

In my experience, these can be caused by either the SFM or one of the FPCs.


In the messages log, do you see any B chip errors?  What version of Junos?  

Usually this indicates a hardware issue and often requires an RMA of the
faulty SFM or FPC.  You should open a case with JTAC for this.
