[j-nsp] dynamic profile: dynamic vlan and routing instance creation

Hi Harvey,

The RI must be preconfigured with instance-type, and vrf-target/RD where
required as with any RI you create. Then subscriber can then be
dynamically bound into the RI as the documents suggest.

Cheers,
Caillin

Subject: [j-nsp] dynamic profile: dynamic vlan and routing instance
creation

Hello,

I am trying to create a dynamic vlan and routing instance via dynamic
profile. Essentially I am trying to create a subscriber where the vlan
and routing instance will be created on the fly.

i.e. sub-1 gets dynamically configured for 1/1/1.2 "vid 2" and routing
instance X is created dynamically and associated.

The following link seems to imply this is possible:

http://www.juniper.net/techpubs/en_US/junos12.1/topics/task/configuratio
n/vlan-dynamic-profile-routing-instances.html

However the MX running 12.1 rejects the radius message containing the
routing instance that I want to create and returns. "Routing instance
does not exist"

Is this supported? Or is it a typo in the JNPR document and the routing
instance needs to be pre-configured on the system. Hence, only the vlan
is dynamically created and associated to a pre-configured RI?

Thanks....
