If you have a service contract, you can download and use Junos Space with Service Now. It can be downloaded as a VM.
Service Now has some events that it collects information on, for instance if a power supply fails, or a daemon resets. You can submit the incident directly to JTAC as a case. Service Now runs as an application module in Junos Space.
Junos Space has a number of features, including configuration and image management. It also has OpenNMS bundled and embedded in it which can do a lot of what you are looking to do, including performance monitoring (cpu, interface stats, etc..) and snmp trap management.
http://www.juniper.net/support/downloads/?p=space for Junos Space download and a link to the documentation.

Any questions for your situation in particular, you can send me an email 1:1, but if there are questions/comments of general interest to juniper-nsp you can send them back here and I'll see what I can do to find you the answers. Or you can post on j-net forums in the Management area (http://forums.juniper.net/t5/Management/bd-p/SecurityManagement)

Subject: [j-nsp] Junos device monitoring
Hi
which is the best way to monitor a Junos device (ie EX or MX) in terms of:
- bgp neighbor activity
- GRE interfaces up or down
- unicast traffic valume passing an interface
- multicast traffic volume passive an interface
Does anybody have any practice experience ?
I'm thinking about SNMP monitor or getting TRAP...
Tks
