Ok. Why would I care whether JunOS is 64-bit?

I really just want an RE which can be put on support. RE-400-256 doesn't 
cut it, RE-850 can still, but can't be bought new, so is of less use. 
Which leaves the new (and by the sound of it, prohibitively expensive) 
RE-1800.
