That discussion has been going on for a long time now. And
the key reason for that idea, apparently, was to support
remote labs and testing so folk don't have to buy lab gear
to spend time securing lab time at Sunnyvale/Westford,
e.t.c.
I did ask whether there would be plans to let folk buy that
hardware, and the answer was an emphatic "No". But then
again, that was 2010.
