I've since tried this optic on a different EX4200 running 12.3R4.6,
and then upgraded it to 13.2X50-D19.2.  The result is the same as
11.4R8.5 & 12.3R6.6.  11.4 didn't report anything interesting in
/var/log/messages, but 12.3 and 13.2 did.
