You can make use of policers and use them once or many times.

Every model should support policers however my experience has been on EX4200 & EX4500.

Example from http://www.juniperlab.info/p/interface-rate-limit-on-ex.html:

1. Configure the policer

root at juniperlab# set firewall policer Policer_2M if-exceeding bandwidth-limit 1M
root at juniperlab# set firewall policer Policer_2M if-exceeding burst-size-limit 2k
root at juniperlab# set firewall policer Policer_2M then discard

2. Configure the firewall filter

root at juniperlab# set firewall family ethernet-switching filter Limit term 1 then accept
root at juniperlab# set firewall family ethernet-switching filter Limit term 1 then policer Poicer_2M

3. Apply filter on interface (can be any interface as required)

root at juniperlab# set interface ge-0/0/24.0 family ethernet-switching filter input Limit

Note: Remember that EX series switches apply rate limit only on ingress.

Cheers
Mike

Subject: [j-nsp] Per Port Per VLAN rate-limiting on EX series

Hi
I just want to be sure on which EX modes are Per port Per VLAN rate-limiting supported ?

I'm interested this mostly in aspect of:

- EX3300
- EX4300
- EX4550
- EX4600

Can any one also give me some configuration clue how to check it ? I have no experience on EX series so looking for clues how to configure think like
this:

- port xe-1/0/0
- rate-limit VLAN 101 to 10Mbps (ingress) and 11Mbps (egress)
- rate-limit VLAN 102 to 20Mbps (ingress) and 22Mbps (egress)

Rob
