In IOS and IOS XE, my annoyance is that you can't use a tag as a match
condition to export routes to BGP neighbors.

Not sure what the policy in IOS XR is.

For exporting Direct routes in Junos, we go the old-fashioned way; but
yes, being able to add tags to those would be great.
