[j-nsp] "replace pattern" Command & White Spaces

Can you show a specific example of the problem? What Junos release? What platform?

This appears to work for me on a vMX running 16.1R1.11:

[edit]
user at r0# replace pattern "foo bar" with "one two" 

[edit]
user at r0# show | compare 
[edit interfaces ge-0/0/0]
-   description "foo bar";
+   description "one two";
