here's a funny (not) thing:

ok, cool! so you want cert then key, great! (not clear on the
format... but..)

error: Unable to derive certificate from input

is the error I see from:
 -----BEGIN\nCERTIFICATE-----\nMIIFxjCCA66gA....
 <single long line>---BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY--- ....

ok.. funny there was config on this, show|compare
 says:
  - "-----BEGIN PRIVATE KEY-----\nMIIJQgIB .....

ok.. so that's actually: "Private key and Certificate string" It's
also not simple to find docs on this at the juniper support site :(

If your primary/first interaction with 'documentation' is the
command-line usage, then ffs please be precise.
