Well if you think about it the RSP-880 is basically an x86 server for VMs
(for 9K9 chassis anyways) -so it's only natural it has a CMP port like all
the other servers :)

-It's just steps away from extracting that x86 server out of the chassis

So the point I'm trying to make here is that the RSPs as we know them may
slowly disappear and we'll be connecting the x86 servers directly to chassis
internal LAN.
