He has quite some contacts on the ground including access to engineers and corporate support if needed
Martin if you feel like it’s worth talking to him just drop him an email.

Are you able to get in touch with Soltero for PR?

I’ll give Steve a call if you want to see what contacts they’ve managed to make on the ground.

Have you talked to the guys at NSRC?
They’ve got good contacts into the RENa on the islands and I know that Steve Huter was talking to State about helping out?

You guys shipped 36, not 30. Thanks. :)
I flashed half of them. I'm going to wait for configs. I can do everything at once much faster. I activated all of the ports on the edgerouter and have a system. Won't take a lot of time.
I talked to Jane Coffin at the ISOC today. Jane worked for the NTIA and has done FEMA oriented communications restoration policy and management. She knows exactly what we're trying to accomplish and is a good ally.
1. NETHOPE
Jane and ISOC know them well and they answer her emails. She's going to try and set up cargo space for us.
2. Tortola and Dominica
We were asked for these. I ordered an edgerouter. I'm back from NANOG on Tuesday night. I'm ready to go.
3. The rest
We need to send more than one set to Dominica and Tortola. If we do three each and we use 3 APs as our baseline, that's 18 devices + six edgerouters. That leaves us 18.
Gino, if we send some of these your way, would you deposit them on your network and open them up? Has Chris briefed you on this activity? We're building a messaging platform that strips away most other capabilities so we can expand small bits to large amounts of people for text communications. Happy to send some to you, I bet you'll need them.
4. We should find more caribbean operators and invite them. Caribnog is really quiet. I'm going to try there, but I think word of mouth is going to be cleaner.
Thanks
Marty
