Description:

Great opportunity for a long term open ended contract! My client has a small team of Network Engineers who are all professional consultants, some have been working here for over five years!
Very competitive hourly rates or my company (Advantage Technical) can hire you to join our Professional Services Team on a permanent basis to work onsite at my client.



The ideal Engineer with have experience with the following:

-          5 Years IT Experience and Min 3 years direct Network Experience

-          The Candidate must have hands on experience with Routing and Switching in Enterprise environment

-          Working Tier 1 and 2 level calls for both Cisco Network and Cisco IPT

-          Solid understanding of Cisco Wireless in the Enterprise

-          Must demonstrate proficiency in structured, problem-solving methodology Supporting remote access issues supporting either Cisco ASA or Juniper SSL VPN

-          Solid understanding of IP Addressing / Subnetting

-          Ability to Support and troubleshoot (OSPF, EIGRP)

-          QoS, VoIP, VRF, VRRP, HSRP, STP

-          IPS Technologies

-          Experience using TCPDUMP and Network Sniffers for basic troubleshooting

-          Excellent verbal and written communications skills required

-          The ability to research and document solutions

-          Very strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills

-          Must be team oriented (sharing knowledge, cross  training, documentation

Daily Roles and Responsibilities:

-          80% Support Calls (Tier 1 /2)

>       Handle first line escalations from Service Desk

>       IP Address assignments

>       Switchport and VLAN assignments

>       Performance and connectivity troubleshooting

>       Wireless connectivity troubleshooting

-          20% Project based

-          Daily Support for Cisco Campus Network consisting of 15 Buildings across Cambridge and Boston



Pluses would be:

- Experience with Cisco CallManager, Unity, IPCC

- QIP DNS/DHCP IP Address Administration

- Understanding of GxP Compliance
- Checkpoint

- RSA ACE - SecurID
- Ability to handle high pressure situations and maintain professional composure at client site

- CiscoWorks and Cisco ACS Servers

- Riverbed

- F5 LTM and GTM Hardware Load balancers

- SolarWinds and SNMP

- Cisco Wireless - WCS, WISM, Controllers, LWAP





Required

-          24x7 on-call rotation required (very light afterhours support)

-          Possible domestic and international Travel (limited)

-          Must be able to carry 50lbs, and navigate across Cambridge/Boston wide campus
