Hello!

I hope everyone's holidays were good and that you are all doing
well in 2017. I just saw an e-mail position posted to this mailing
list today, so I thought I would introduce myself and/or let people
I know have an update.

For those of you who didn't already know, Leo, Donna and I moved
back to the Northern Virginia / Metro DC area (specifically Ashburn,
Virginia) in early 2015. Leo is working as the Director of Network
Operations at WebMD, while Donna is now in preschool.

I have been out of the job market for about 4 years because I have
been raising Donna. However, Donna is now in preschool. I am
personally researching companies at this point and exploring where
I should park myself professionally. I am immersed in getting
various certifications (e.g., Cisco, Check Point, Fortinet, Palo
Alto) to keep up with technology and show that I am current and up
to date. I may be shooting high, but I am looking for flexible
telecommuting contract work because of Donnas schedule. I have no
preference when it comes to contract work - it can be a long term
or a short term project, W2 or 1099. Depending on the package,
benefits, and compensation, a salaried position would also be
considered. Working near Ashburn (Sterling, Leesburg, Herndon,
Reston, etc) would be optimal.

If you would like my resume I can send it to you. You can also
check my LinkedIn profile if you want a quick look.

Because I am asking for help, I'm hoping that in return I can
help others. Are you looking for a job too? We all know
people in the networking industry and I'd be happy to share
my contacts with others if they see a job posting at a company
where I know someone.

Do you think your resume needs work? I don't know how much spare time
I'll have, but if you think your resume needs work, I like helping others
improve their resumes so that companies and recruiters will look at their
resume and not immediately throw it into the waste bin.

Have a great afternoon! It's almost Friday!

Thanks-

Rachel K. Bicknell
