Hi teams,

This is just a brief heads-up for awareness purposes.

Some of you may already know and be tracking this issue, but a Dutch
politician is releasing a controversial film about the Koran in the
next couple of weeks. The film is called "Fitna" and you can find
more context and background at:

+News>

And the film is likely to appear at:

<http://www.fitnathemovie.com/>

So a special heads up to:

AS | IP | AS Name
6245 | 205.178.145.65 | NETWORK-SOLUTIONS

I bring this to NSP-Security as we're seeing a definite rise in
defaced/compromised websites from Turkish hacker groups. The
defacements are *NOT* in any way "radical" (yet) and I can't stress
strongly enough that it would be most unfortunate for people to
interpret this as a Chicken-Little event (the sky is NOT falling, the
sky is NOT falling).

Indeed, the defacement messages are quite reasonable...referring to
respect and belief in other religions, tolerance, and discouraging
giving Wilders an audience to spread his message of hate.

The film has not yet been released, and the content is known only to a
very select number of people, but here in The Netherlands people are
preparing for potential headaches as it nears and reaches its release
date.

Keep an eye out for defacements, potential packeting, the usual sorts
of stuff. If anything in particular happens which warrants NSP-Sec
awareness, myself (and likely others) will post at the time.

Thanks,

Scott A. McIntyre
