I use all possibilities to meet and network with law enforcement here
and there
and discus the current issues - with the idea of gently asking if
they have lack of current knowledge, if they need contacts here and
there.
Also just discussing the general state of the scene is very important.

I have a feeling that the LE community is getting the clue on the issue
and
learning with an increasing speed. They are painfully aware of the
communications issues they have internationally and "working on it".

>From my vantage point the biggest showstopper to the road of increased
"cyber-LE" effeciveness is the communications gap between the LE and
the network security community. And this when observed in international
scale.

Yes, we have forums here and there. Yes, there are sometimes major,
sometimes
"only in perception" difficulties in sharing and talking to each other.
There
are some bright spots in the big picture. To get more light here, we all
need to get into action.

That means - networking proper between network security and LE worlds.

I am _NOT_ meaning opening all and everything. But we should at least
provide our view of the big picture to the LE side. And get known there
and vice versa.

There are people on this list that do a _lot_ in this area. Tell us how
you help LE - to help us others help even more.

Last opinion - we should not try to take LE responsibilities in our own
hands - we should help the real LE to do their job in the internet
dimension.
