Hi Teams,
In recent weeks we've had a number of off-list, and unknown to us,
groups contact us about hosts in the ddosrs.
We'd like to take this opportunity to remind everyone of the limitations
placed on this service. They can be found here:
https://www.cymru.com/nsp-sec/DDoS-RS/
Please note sharing rules:
"The DDoS route server must never be publicly announced, otherwise it
may be attacked or abused by the miscreants. Therefore the service shall
only be open to the nsp-security community. Please do not talk about the
route server in any public forum, though you are obviously free to
discuss it with fellow backbone and security engineers within your
organization. It is also important that you do not share the list of
blackholed IPs with your customers, as they may be knowingly or
unknowlingly working with the miscreants themselves. If any of your
customers have questions regarding IPs on the DDoS route server please
DO NOT forward them to Team Cymru. Instead contact us yourself and we
will be happy to work with you to address your customer's concerns. "
Thanks,
- -Dave
