I'd like vouch for Ryan Shea .. (I think he applied over the summer
while I was on leave..)
I've worked with Ryan nearly 2 years now - he's bright, resourceful, and
eager to fix problems. He is a good fit for nsp-sec.
I also vouch for Robert Danford -- as Gill mentioned he has a lot of
the type of data about infected systems that is passed around on this
list. I leave it to the mods to sort out, but I strongly believe
Robert's presence would be helpful to the nsp-sec community.

NSP-SEC,
Today is my last day with Verizon Business (UUNet, MCI, WorldCom ... AS
701 & friends) and as such I must unsubscribe from the NSP-Security
list. I appreciate the utility opportunity to learn new stuff and
people that this list has provided.
With my sign off, there is only one person on this list from 701-land
(Heather Schiller) ... I would again recommend that you get to know Ryan
Shea because he is Very Smart Dude over here with lots of BGP Clue and
is eager to work with you clueful folks to solve BGP problems he sees
within and without our network. Although he has lots of experience
with networking in the packet sense, his networking in the Linked-In
sense is just burgeoning. So look him up in the BOFs or reach out to
him and get to know him so you can vet for him too.
There are also research/operation-type folks in here, like Robert
Danford, who do not meet the "with enable" criteria but have a lot of
information exactly like the "here are K-thousand active bots around the
world" or "here's an active phish" the sort of thing that gets passed
along this list. It would be good for the community if they could pass
along their information and receive the information that gets passed
along this list. Maybe in the future he will get enable and be
completely eligible, or maybe the community can find a way to address
these situations. I don't advocate opening the list up to too broad an
audience, but in some situations (I think especially in the very large
providers) the way work is distributed internally does not conform to
the mold expected by this list's criteria.
That said, kudos to this group for effectively making the World
(Internet, anyway) a Better Place and for staying on the down-low while
doing it.
