DayPhone: 602.492.5465
24hrPhone: 602.492.5465
INOC-DBA Phone: Do not yet have one
Company/Employer: Neustar/UltraDNS
ASNs Responsible for: 12008
JobDesc:
Currently, I am the Senior Director of Network Architecture for the
Operations and Engineering group at Neustar. The vast majority of my
focus is with the UltraDNS infrastructure. In addition to driving
infrastructure design I am also responsible for the Operational Security
of the UltraDNS network. Specifically, it is my job to help keep our
infrastructure and SOC staff ready to respond to any security related
activities (mainly DDOS) in addition to leading technical responses
during such events. As such, I maintain full access to the UltraDNS
environment and can provide timely forensic and monitoring data as needed.
Additional background: I have been with UltraDNS for going on 7.5 years
now. I have been intimately involved with the design, build-out and
management of our DNS infrastructure. Prior to that I filled a number
of Network Engineering/Management positions for both large and small
networks. I started my career in 1994 and have been working in the
Internet services sector ever since (heavily network-focused). I assume
that most folks on the list are familiar with UltraDNS and Neustar but
in brief, we operate a global DNS infrastructure that supports 20+ TLD's
and thousands of SLD's including some very high profile Internet companies.
