[nsp-sec] Cost of "cleaning up" networks

Pardon the cross-posting on two lists....

A journalist from Bloomberg is involved with a story on the responsibility of networks to clean their areas up (remediation, filtering, etc  of infected users.

They are trying to identify whether there has been any formal, or relatively comprehensive informal, analysis done of the costs.

Does anyone have any data, and want to share with Bloomberg?

NB: I'm not inviting a discussion with me, I "know noooooothing". I'm just looking for someone I can point her towards ;-)
