Hi folks,
I'm helping organize the upcoming ISP Security BoF at NANOG 53 in
Philadelphia.
I thought it might be worthwhile to try to solicit 1-minute security
personals, modeled after the peering BoF's peering personals. The goal
is not to induce people to say things they don't want to, but rather to
simply introduce newcomers and old-timers to the group and optionally say
something of interest about themselves or the organizations they
represent. What would you want to see from a security personal?
Additionally if you have something like you'd like to present in front
of this semi-private crowd (not recorded, but also no participation
restriction other than NANOG attendance), then please let me know and
we'll try to get it on the agenda. Possible topics include, but are
not limited to:
* case study of new security practices or technologies
* recent security event case study
* commentary on security-related regulatory proposals
* summary of recent security trends, threats or research
* best practices for security routing, mail, DNS, BGP, hosting, etc.
* update on security-related standards activities
* demo of security-related tool(s)
Can someone please forward this over to the main nsp-security@ list
since I left there awhile ago. Thank you,
John
