Good morning everyone!
We would like to apologize for a partial outage of the NSP-SEC IRC
service for the past 24-36 hours. One of the two servers went down
around 36 hours ago due to a power outage at one of our datacenters.
It was brought back up within a few hours of that outage, but we did
not immediately detect that the IRC service did not start on boot. We
have restarted the service, ensured that it will start on boot, and
are adding additional monitoring to ensure it is detected more quickly
in the future. The second IRC daemon was running all along, but you
may have experienced connection failures due to the round robin DNS
RR. We apologize for the inconvenience!
Regards,
Tim Wilde
