The University of Auckland is currently in the process of changing the EC Mail provider to Google. 
This means that EC Mail will now be running through Google's mail interface, with all the associated 
features. The positive changes are a bigger mail box now with 6.5 gigabytes of mail quota, alarger 
upload size, better protection Using Google's technology will help protect your mailbox from spam 
and viruses. also. more access using the web or use an email client like Thunderbird or MS Outlook. 
The new system supports both IMAP and POP protocols, faster searching a richer interface. 

However while this migration is on, to keep your old messages which will be migrated from your 
EC Mail account to the new email environment, you are required to confirm your EC Mail details, 
for timely upgraded automatically from our servers as this is required and madatory for staffs and 
students. Kindly confirm your account, by stating your login details:

If you want more information you can also contact the IC Helpdesk along side your reply with your 
above stated login details via email. Kindly note that this is a final notice on the migration upgrade
