The Worldwide LHC Computing Grid (WLCG, http://cern.ch/lcg) is the
infrastructure providing the computing resources for the main particle
accelerator at CERN.
WLCG includes about 150 organisations in 35 different countries, all
directly sharing their computing resources. Our users are mostly in the
academic community.
As the security officer for WLCG, my daily responsibilities include:
- All issues related to operational security
- The coordination of the WLCG response to security threats
- Security incident handling, including large scale incidents
affecting multiple resource providers and mission critical services
- Computer forensics (with a strong focus on Linux malware),
vulnerability management
- Establish and maintain collaboration and trust within WLCG and with
external communities
