Subject: Back with a DRG hat on?
Date: Wed, 23 May 2012 17:50:59 -0500
Hello friends,
I was wondering if after a long hiatus I would be welcomed back to the
party with my DRG hat on (dragonresearchgroup.org). This would likely
fall into the "has something of value to netops" basis rather than
running a large net with enable.
DRG has insight that could be used by nsp-security constituents who
want it and can use it. For an overview of some of the public data
available see:
http://dragonresearchgroup.org/insight/
DRG currently has variety of application-specific insight from around
the globe, much of which is not currently available to the public that
may be of value to ISPs/NSPs including:
DNS
HTTP[S]
SMTP
SSH
VNC
In various stages of development and testing are:
RDP
SIP
We also have a 'whowas' service we could make available to nsp-security
constituents. If interested, we could arrange something similar to
Team Cymru's feeds for nsp-security participants.
Note, DRG is sponsored by Team Cymru, but Team Cymru cannot use any DRG
derived output.
Of course, all the stuff I do with TC comes with it. This includes
various routing, DNS, NTP, and sinkhole related projects I do to name a
few.
If you really want what DRG has, but don't want me, because you're
sick of Cymraeg people, I can probably find someone else from DRG to
apply or who may already be on the list.
