I've dealt with Aftab since 2010, mostly around his APNIC participation, and I've met him at SANOG and APNIC meetings.  So I know him, but not well enough to vouch for his discretion.  I also don't know anything about him that would cause me to think that he was unsuited to participation.

Chris (Timico.net) has been one of our peers at LINX since 2009, and we've worked with him on outages before.  Again, not a strong vouch.
