Subject: Re: Transitioning to a new location
Starting this month I will continue to have an affiliation with the UC
Berkeley side and have access to many of their systems, but I no longer
am in a position where I can actively mitigate incidents in their
network on my own without working with one of their full-time network
engineers.
So, here is my re-application for my primary role at LBL:
Name: Rune Stromsness
E-mail: runes at nsx.lbl.gov
DayPhone: 510-486-5095
24hrPhone: 510-549-1284 / 510-847-9170
INOC-DBA Phone:
Company/Employer: University of California - Lawrence Berkeley National
Laboratory
ASNs Responsible for: 16
JobDesc: Network Manager for the LBL national lab. Architectural and
operational responsibility for LBL campus network -- border routers,
campus core, DNS service, etc. I'm the primary liaison between the
network group and our campus security operations group and I participate
in the REN-ISAC community. I'm the primary on-call person who
configures our border routers and responds to security issues impacting
the LBL network. (I also have significant ongoing responsibilities and
interactions with NERSC (AS 2936) and UC Berkeley (AS 25) such that I
could help to mitigate security issues there if no better contact is
available.)
