This is something we have had issues with in the past with some of our customers.  Personally that is why I switched my nameservers off zoneedit for my personal domains.  They were rock solid for a long time, but as with all free services "you get what you pay for".

No update from zoneedit's twitter feed for 16 hours.

Lots of frustration in twitterverse about their lack of communication.

Tracing through the twitter comments, it appears at least some of the zoneedit DNS servers have been offline since midnight Central.

Looks like alot if not all dns servers at zonedit have fallen over

Usual comms from them on twitter
- we know we're fixing it , no eta
