One of the fundamental issues in avoiding outages is, of course, emergency
power.  Regardless of the reason why the power went out, your customers at 
a datacenter (be they paying ones, or internal company departments) don't 
really care: the reason they're paying you is to avoid that.

Most people don't need a genset this big, but commercial datacenters like
SoftLayer do, and they like to brag about themselves occasionally.
